Kevin Fiur founded Innovestion LLC in 2011 and is the company's Chairman. Prior to creating Innovestion, Mr. Fiur was a Senior Vice President of ICAP IP, the world’s largest intellectual property trader. Mr. Fiur possesses over a decade of experience in the technology transactions market and his peers recognize him as an expert in global business development and IP monetization, particularly with regard to generating revenue from market relevant patents and trade secrets through licensing, sales and other novel deal structures.
Mr. Fiur joined ICAP in 2009, along with his team from IP Knowledge Ventures, a company he started and grew to a successful full service IP services firm specializing in the identification, valuation, acquisition, development and sale of intangible assets. Mr. Fiur was recruited to ICAP by its CEO to build the company and establish it as a global leader in the IP transactions market. Under Mr. Fiur's direction, the company grew substantially and turned a profit in the first full year of his tenure. During his tenure, Mr. Fiur and his team developed over 50 buy and sell side customers and he left the company in 2011 as its top producer having generated over $40 million in gross revenues during his final year with the company.
Prior to joining ICAP, Mr. Fiur was first President & CEO of IP Tactics, and then served in those same roles for IP Knowledge Ventures, Inc., a venture funded company with headquarters in Austin, Texas that was forced to shelve it's pending public offering after the 2008 financial collapse.
Mr. Fiur’s education includes a BA degree from the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin, a JD (Order of the Coif) from the University of Texas School Of Law, and an MBA (with honors) from the Acton School of Business in Austin, Texas. After law school, he went on to clerk for Judge James R. Nowlin at the Federal District Court in Austin before starting his career at Baker Botts in Houston, Texas.
